Instructions for downloading and setting wallpaper (PC)
Note: Wallpaper is also called background on some programs

Note: Wallpaper are big picture files so depending on your internet connection these may take a while to download.

NOTE: Please download and save pictures to your server or web space. Please do not let your pictures load directly from my server, since this uses a tremendous amount of bandwidth, and resources on my server.

    Step 1 Opening the picture or download it.
    Step 2 Setting a saved or downloaded file as Wallpaper:

Step 1 is to open the picture or download it.

Downloading For Netscape Browsers 4+ users:
1. Click on either 1024x768 or 800x600 to download the appropriate size for for your computer screen (this will open the wallpaper). (I don't know what my screen size is? Go to the section "How to determine my screen size")
2. Choose "save it to disk", or "save as" be sure to remember the file name and where it is being saved to. This option allows you to scan, rename the file or choose where to save it. You can use this file later as a wallpaper.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to remember the file name and where it is being saved so You can find it to use this file later as a wallpaper.

For Internet Explorer Browsers IE 4+ Users:
1. Click on either 1024x768 or 800x600 to download the appropriate size for for your computer screen (this will open the wallpaper). (I don't know what my screen size is? Go to the section "How to determine my screen size")
2. "Right click" on the picture and either choose: "set as wallpaper" or "set as background" (this automatically sets the picture as a wallpaper on your desktop). Minimize any open windows and you should be able to see the new wallpaper. If you are using the Internet Explorer Browsers you are done. You don't need to do anything else except repeat this process if you want to download a different/more wallpaper.

Step 2 To Set a saved or downloaded file as Wallpaper:
1. "Right click" anywhere on your desktop.
2. From the drop down menu choose "properties" (the last item)
3. This opens the Display Properties Box. Select the "Background" tab (this is the first tab if it is not already selected) Note: Wallpaper is referred to here as background
4. Click on the "browse" button. This allows you to search for the file you want to choose as a wallpaper. When you find it click on that "file's name" and then click on the "open" button.
5. This brings you back to the Display Properties Box.
6. Below the "browse" button is the Picture Display. Click on the "drop down menu/arrow" and select "center". (this centers your wallpaper on your desktop) Note: If your picture doesn't fill the whole screen you can choose "stretch" to fill the whole screen or you can choose 'tile". It's up to you.
7. From the properties box on the very bottom are three buttons click on "apply" then click on "OK". Your wallpaper should be set.
Note: Repeat the above steps if you want to try other wallpapers.top

Notes:

1. To Remove Wallpaper: Sometimes you just don't want any wallpaper as your background; Here's how to remove wallpaper:
    1. Right click anywhere on your desktop.
    2. From the drop down menu choose "properties" (the last item)
    3. Select the "Background" tab (the first tab button if not already selected)
    4. From the scroll box scroll up to the option "none" (the first item)
    5. Click on "none"
    6. Click "OK" on the Display Properties box. This removes the wallpaper.top

2. How to determine your screen size:
If you are reading this section chances are your screen resolution is set at the default size of 800 x 600, so choose to download the 800 x 600 wallpaper. Your screen resolution can also be called screen size or display size or by other names. Most computers are set at 800 x 600 dpi (dots per inch or pixels per inch) some people like higher resolutions (size) and so they may set their computers at 1024x768 display size. To check your resolution setting:
    1. Right click anywhere on your desktop
    2. From the drop down menu choose "properties"
    3. Look for the tab named "settings" and click on it.
    4. Look for the section called "screen area" This section contains a slider button for changing your screen size. But what you are looking for is your screen size which is displayed in text for e.g. 800 by 600 pixels or 1024 by 768 pixels. Whatever the resolution indicated here is the size of wallpaper you will choose to download.top
